Green Iguana Society

The Green Iguana Society is dedicated to sharing the joys of owning an iguana along with providing all of the information, good and bad, about these large herps. Iguanas require specialized care and can live up to 20 years in captivity. The Green Iguana Society is not a shelter but does provide an adoption board and recommendations on qualified herp vets.

The great folks who help run this site all have similar stories of that first, much beloved ig where they had trouble finding reliable information on how to care for their pet. They have now come together and try to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on caring for these beautiful animals. The Green Iguana Society website offers a wealth of information, has an active message board, and a list of approved information resources and products.
