Proteus Reptile Trust

Founded in 1991, the Proteus Reptile Trust is dedicated to educating pet owners on the proper care of reptiles and has established a sanctuary for the rescue of turtles, snakes and lizards. Proteus established the UK's first reptile ambulance and provides assistance to zoos, various Police forces and the RSPA. Volunteers are needed to help educate the public and visit with school children to promote greater awareness of the husbandry required for pet reptiles. Volunteers and financial support are also needed to continue providing rehabilitation and rehoming of reptiles in the UK.
