The official Japanese government website with information about brining pets into Japan. Plan ahead and your pet can remain in quarantine for as little as 12 hours; fail to plan ahead properly and your pet could be quarantined for 180 days! Some pets require no quarantine period (reptiles and amphibians) and others (monkeys) are prohibited.
