Freedom Service Dogs

Freedom Service Dogs rescues dogs from animal shelters, trains them to assist people with disabilities and places them where they are needed most. Through their Operation Freedom program, dogs in training who are hoped to be partnered with a wounded service member are paired with returning and retired military members. Volunteers and donations are sought. Dogs not deemed able to meet the strict guidelines of becoming a service dog are offered for adoption and should make great household pets but may be too timid, easily distracted or unable to resist chasing squirrels.
