This site should be a must read for anyone contemplating bringing a parrot into their household. Parrots can live for many years and require more specialized care than other pets. The owner of this site, Becky Margison Sumber, has been the Vice President of the Avian Welfare Resource Center since 2001 and has worked through this site and the Center to promote the ethical treatment of parrots and other captive exotic birds.
