Parrot Rescue A guide to websites of organizations that specialize in parrot rescue and rehabilitation. These organizations work to pair a safe haven for parrots in need of temporary housing during times of a family crisis or those birds who need a new forever home. Parrot Adopt Southern Ontario is an organization dedicated to assisting parrots and their owners throughout Ontario. This rescue organization was founded in 2001 and has since placed over 400 parrots in new homes as well as worked with parrot owners to learn how to properly care for these highly intelligent and active birds. If you are outside of the Ontario area and need assistance with your bird, would like to offer your home for parrot foster care or wish to adopt a parrot; Parrot Adopt Southern Ontario will work with you to find a trusted bird rescue organization in your area.

The Refuge is a no-kill parrot rescue, rehabilitation, education, & adoption organization. They are accredited by the Association of Avian Rescue Organizations (AARO), certified by the Model Aviculture Program (MAP),and licensed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Welfare. The Refuge also offers pet boarding services for parrots.
