Parrot Adopt Southern Ontario is an organization dedicated to assisting parrots and their owners throughout Ontario. This rescue organization was founded in 2001 and has since placed over 400 parrots in new homes as well as worked with parrot owners to learn how to properly care for these highly intelligent and active birds. If you are outside of the Ontario area and need assistance with your bird, would like to offer your home for parrot foster care or wish to adopt a parrot; Parrot Adopt Southern Ontario will work with you to find a trusted bird rescue organization in your area.

The Refuge is a no-kill parrot rescue, rehabilitation, education, & adoption organization. They are accredited by the Association of Avian Rescue Organizations (AARO), certified by the Model Aviculture Program (MAP),and licensed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Animal Welfare. The Refuge also offers pet boarding services for parrots.

The Oasis Sanctuary is the first exotic bird sanctuary to have received dual accreditation from the American Sanctuary Association (ASA) and the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS). Located in Scottsdale, AZ, the Sanctuary is a life-care facility for captive exotic birds. They offer a great deal of information for parrot owners as well as a peak into the African Grey habitat via a live video camera. (Be sure to turn up your computer speakers and you'll be bound to hear not only the greys but a variety of other species being cared for at this wonderful bird sanctuary.)

A group of volunteers have been working to reunite lost birds and their families since 2004. The site offers a place for owners to post their 'lost pet' notices as well as a place for 'found pet' notices. The long list of reunited families shows the success of this wonderful band of bird lovers and shares many heartwarming stories of birds finding their way home.Volunteers scour the web for lost and found bird posts and either post them on the site or put people with matching ads in contact with each other.
